Male patient of 32 years old who got an x-ray of the left hand within the context of a known Ollier Syndrome. But there was more .... Thanks to the eagle eye of Dr. J. De Groote, who recognized some phleboliths, suggesting hemangiomas this patient was diagnosed with a Maffucci syndrome. This is a syndrome characterized by multiple enchondromas with associated soft tissue masses, most commonly hemangiomas. Follow-up is necessary because 25% of enchondromas undergo malignant transformation to chondrosarcoma.
